Creating well-organized and easy-to-navigate manuals is essential for clear communication and user guidance.
Add section headlines
By adding section headlines and leveraging FlowShare's table of contents feature, you can create organized chapters that enhance readability and navigation.
You can add section headlines in the text input field at the top:
For individual steps, just enter the headline text
For combined steps, please enter the headline text to the first sub-step!
Activate the Table of Contents option
To structure manuals and create a table of contents with different chapters, first make sure that you have activated this option.
Open Settings and navigate to the General tab.
Check the option “Create table of contents” to enable automatic table of contents generation for supported formats.
Export with Table of Contents
When exporting your manual, the table of contents is generated based on the section headlines you've added:
HTML and Word format: Each heading automatically creates a sub-item in the table of contents.
PDF format: A table of contents is only created in the “Boxed” template or in custom templates designed to support this feature.
