For SAP GUI, enable SAP scripting on both the server and client. This can be checked and corrected with a few clicks if you have the necessary rights.
Enable scripting on the server
First we will enable scripting on the server. In SAP GUI enter transaction 'RZ11' and confirm your entry.
To get to the right profile enter the parameter 'sapgui/user_scripting' and confirm.
The GUI will take you to a respective table. Here you can see the server default and currently set value. Make sure the current value is set to TRUE.
Click the Change Value button above to change the value in case it is set to FALSE.
Enter the value TRUE here and save your change.
Enable scripting for your GUI (Client)
Now let's make sure your local GUI also allows scripting. For that open the Settings menu from the top menu.
Select Options.. from the drop-down menu.
In the Options dialog open the Accessibility & Scripting folder.
Please select the Scripting menu item.
In case it is not enabled yet, you can activate scripting here.
Finish the process by clicking OK.
FlowShare should now be able to track all your interactions with SAP GUI and generate documentation for you.
Other important requirements for successful SAP GUI documentation with FlowShare
Besides having scripting enabled, there are a few more things to keep in mind.
Make sure SAP GUI tracking is enabled in the FlowShare settings.
Never have more than one instance of SAP GUI open at a time.
Have SAP GUI already running before starting FlowShare.
