FlowShare's Licensing Server is a flexible solution designed for organizations with multiple users. It allows an unlimited number of users within your organization to access FlowShare, with the number of unique or concurrent users determined by the size of your license pool.
This system is scalable, allowing you to expand your license pool at any time. We provide a managed, secure license server hosted in Germany or USA for the duration of your contract.
Note! This feature is available only for FlowShare Enterprise users.
Activate a license server
After you have purchased a license server access from us, you need to configure it in FlowShare to use all features. This is done in just a few steps:
After installation, open FlowShare. In the menu bar on the left, look towards the bottom left corner and click the Settings icon (gear symbol).
Click on the “License” tab and open the "License server" area. Enter your license server configuration data that you got from us:
URL or IP address of the license server (without the
https://prefix)Port number of the server (usually 443)
Proxy address (optional, depends on your IT setup)
Click on the “Connect” button.
If all data correct, you can use all FlowShare features without any restrictions.

Deactivate a license server in the App
If you have configured license server and you want to remove it from the FlowShare app, simply go to the Settings menu, License tab and click on Disconnect button in the License-server section. This will disconnect and remove the setting from your app.
Some error codes
Error code 4
Connection to license server failed. Please ensure you entered the server address correctly, and that the connection is whitelisted in any firewalls.
Error code 5
No free leases available. All leases are currently in use by other members of your organisation. Please contact Sales if you'd like to purchase more leases or try again at a later time.
Error code 7
The computer's system time is more than 5 minutes (before/after) different from the License Server's system time. Make sure the server's Date, Time, and Timezone are set correctly and make sure this computer's Date, Time, and Timezone are set correctly.
Error code 36
The secure connection to the activation servers failed due to a TLS or certificate error. This is most often caused by MITM (man-in-the-middle) attempts on corporate networks.
