You asked, and we delivered! You can manually group steps in FlowShare 3.1 version, giving you control over how your final export looks. While automatic grouping is still there to help, manual grouping ensures your guides are exactly as concise as you want them to be.
How to Group Steps Manually
To keep your documentation clean, you can group up to 4 consecutive slides into a single exported step.
Hover: Move your mouse over a slide in your list.
Click the Icon: If the slide is the same pixel size as the one before it, the grouping icon will appear. Click it to snap them together.
Check Dimensions: If the icon doesn't appear, it's usually because the slides have different dimensions (e.g., one is cropped and the other isn't).
If you prefer keyboard shortcuts, you can also use these:
Ctrl+G- for groupingCtrl+Shift+G- for ungrouping.
Key Rules to Remember
The Final Image: FlowShare uses the last slide in the group as the primary image for your export. All markers from the grouped steps will appear on this final image.
Limit: You can group a maximum of 4 slides together.
One-Time Tip: The first time you group manually, a notification will appear to guide you. Feel free to dismiss it forever once you're comfortable.
Why group manually? It saves space in your PDF or presentation and allows you to combine multiple clicks into one clear, multi-marker image—even if our automatic logic didn't catch it.
