Import FlowShare settings

Updated over a week ago

If you want to import settings into FlowShare, you can follow the following steps:

Import settings manually

  1. Open Settings at FlowShare, and click on “Import/Export”.

  2. Now select a previously created .fss (FlowShare Settings) file and open it using the Browse... button or via drag & drop.

  3. After the changes are applied, you will receive a success message.

Only those settings are loaded that are in the fss file. All the other settings will remain the same as before.

Import settings automatically

There are more options to import settings automatically every time FlowShare starts. The app is looking for one FSS file in the following order:

  1. Load FSS file from a given network directory (or local) that is configured in a settingsPath registry value, (e.g. Z:/FlowShare/Settings)

  2. Load FSS file from the same directory as where FlowShare is installed and/or being run (e.g. C:/Program Files/miraminds/FlowShare).

  3. Load FSS file from user’s home directory (e.g., C:\Users\NAME).

  4. Load FSS file from root directory, C:\

Follow this guide and read about how to create, export, and roll out settings to your team, making the settings and configuration efficient.
