Capturing a Flow in your Source Language
In this article we will show you how you can easily translate your Flows into 29 languages.
You can either use the AutoTranslate Add-on or translate the Flows manually.
Start by capturing a process with FlowShare as usual.
FlowShare captures a Flow and creates the description in your default language – which will now be the Source language.
Source for AutoTranslate means that retrospective changes you make in the text elements of your flow (like the Title, the Headline or Step Description) will automatically be updated in the translated flow as the translations are linked to the Source Language by default.
Once you have completed and edited your process, open the FlowShare settings.
Now select the "Language" tab and check if the "Automatic translation" Add-on is active for automatic translation.
Then click on "Set translation languages".
You can now select the languages you want to translate your flow into.
Confirm your selection and close the dialog box.
Your Flow has now been automatically translated and you can switch between the source language and your translations.
In this Flow you can see that the German Language was the Source language, it will always be shown as “Language (Source)”.
(In case you had the AutoTranslate Add-on disabled – you can select the language and manually change the strings for each step).
If you want to adjust the automatic translation, you can easily make changes in the text description.
If you want to make changes in the translated language and not the Source language you need to unlink the translation and make your changes.
We recommend you first make sure your Flow in the Source language is up to date before you start doing individual changes in the translation.
Linked translations will be synced and updated automatically when you make changes in the Source language. When you unlink them via the toggle, changes to the Source in that particular step will not be transferred to the translated Flow. Proceed only if you are sure no major future text updates will happen in the Source Flow.

Exporting multilingual Flows
If you want to export Flows in multiple languages follow the same process as you normally would and click on “Export”.
Select your desired format and template and continue the export.
Now a window appears in which you can select in which languages you want to export your flow simultaneously. After you have made your selection, start the export.
You will be notified when all exports are completed. In your target folder you will now find your flows in the desired languages.
